PAINTS & FINISHES

Breathable mortars need breathable finishes. For traditional and ecological building, just as there are a wide range of building materials there are a wide range of finishing materials; lime paints, silicate paints, plant oil emulsions, washes, distempers, lacquers, glazes and waxes.

At the Traditional Lime Company we have the full range of natural, breathable paints and finishes for all backgrounds, whether lime, gypsum, clay, timber or cement.

BEECK & AGLAIA RANGE

We are the official Irish agents for Beeck and Aglaia, manufacturers of natural mineral paints since the 19th Century.

SAINT-ASTIER LIME PAINTS

Saint-Astier lime paints help buildings to breathe, readily allowing moisture to evaporate. The range of surfaces and backgrounds which can be painted with is far greater than that of conventional lime washes. Although not every surface is suitable, many cement, concrete, gypsum, stone, brick and lining paper backgrounds readily accept Saint-Astier lime paints & are suitable for brush or spray application. They are non-toxic and do not harm the environment.
