Lime Mortar Lime Mortar Mixing

Weekly demonstrations are held on Thursdays throughout most of the year at our purpose built workshop.

Topics covered include an explanation of all types of lime and their use in different circumstances, practical demonstrations on correct mixing of mortar, application by hand, spray application, finishing plaster, pointing, curing times and protection of work.

You can also see the final results as the house where the demonstrations are held has been restored using natural hydraulic lime.

You are welcome to ask as many questions as you like, and can be assured that you will be provided with an adequate answer.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided, although you may wish to bring a packed lunch.

If you are interested, please get in touch through our contact page.
